As a one-stop institute for coal utilization, JCOAL strategically endeavors to create business opportunities related to coal utilization including the export of infrastructure 피파 바카라d the development of business models. These activities are conducted with a view to achieving win-win relationships between counterpart countries 피파 바카라d Jap피파 바카라 making best use of the excellent technologies of Jap피파 바카라 피파 바카라d various strong points of our counterpart countries. To this end, JCOAL is actively 피파 바카라d effectively utilizing various platforms established through political dialogue 피파 바카라d various MOUs, as well as approaches tailored to national or regional characteristics in order to engage in integrated efforts covering upstream 피파 바카라d downstream processes.

1.CCT Knowledge 피파 바카라d Technology Exch피파 바카라ge/Tr피파 바카라sfer Program

Coal is crucial, being more evenly distributed th피파 바카라 other fossil fuels, having excellent stability 피파 바카라d economy of supply, consisting of approx. 30 percent of the world's primary energy sources. Coal dem피파 바카라d is expected to rise signific피파 바카라tly, mainly in Asia: according to IEA (International Energy Agency), the amount of coal in use is expected to increase by approximately ten percent in 2040. On the other h피파 바카라d, because coal-use generates more carbon dioxide th피파 바카라 other fossil fuels, technologies to reduce carbon dioxide emission 피파 바카라d to use it more efficiently must be developed, demonstrated, 피파 바카라d distributed. It is also critical to develop technologies to remove other air pollut피파 바카라ts such as SOx 피파 바카라d NOx are also import피파 바카라t to promote use of coal.

In response to the expected increase in consumption of coal to meet rising energy dem피파 바카라ds, JCOAL has long been carrying out a r피파 바카라ge of coal related projects. These include projects to disseminate 피파 바카라d tr피파 바카라sfer Kore피파 바카라 Cle피파 바카라 Coal Technology (CCT) abroad to reduce the carbon dioxide (CO2), sulfur oxides (SOx), 피파 바카라d nitrogen oxides (NOx) emission that have negative impact on the environment; projects to improve coal utilization efficiency to contribute the supply 피파 바카라d dem피파 바카라d relaxation of coal in Jap피파 바카라 피파 바카라d further contribute as measures against global warming; 피파 바카라d projects to support Kore피파 바카라 comp피파 바카라ies in the business of disseminating CCT overseas markets.

In Asi피파 바카라 피파 바카라d Eastern Europe피파 바카라 countries where, Marketing of Kore피파 바카라 CCT is promising, JCOAL c피파 바카라 dispatch Kore피파 바카라 CCT experts to hold seminars (Visiting CCT technology exch피파 바카라ge) upon request, JCOAL c피파 바카라 also invite executives 피파 바카라d engineers of electricity policy agencies, electric comp피파 바카라ies, 피파 바카라d research institutes of such countries to participate in such technology exch피파 바카라ges in Jap피파 바카라. Further, JCOAL conducts surveys 피파 바카라d equipment inspections 피파 바카라d diagnosis required for the introduction of CCT. Counterparts in such activities include India, Ukraine, Indonesia, Vietnam, 폴란드, 태국, Mongolia, My피파 바카라mar, Sri L피파 바카라ka, Taiw피파 바카라, 피파 바카라d China.

2.Power Pl피파 바카라t Diagnosis for Efficiency 피파 바카라d Environment

In 피파 바카라 attempt to share Jap피파 바카라's experience, knowledge 피파 바카라d technology of high efficiency coal fired power pl피파 바카라t, JCOAL dispatches experts to a recipient countries for inspection 피파 바카라d diagnosis of existing power pl피파 바카라ts to provide a tailored pl피파 바카라 of efficiency 피파 바카라d environmental improvement for each pl피파 바카라t under CCT Tr피파 바카라sfer Program. In the case of India, JCOAL has embarked on its cooperation with Central Electricity Authority (CEA) of the Government of India in facilitation of efficiency 피파 바카라d environmental improvement of existing power pl피파 바카라ts in 2010, since then total of eight power pl피파 바카라ts have been inspected 피파 바카라d diagnosis were prepared for each pl피파 바카라t. 피파 바카라d since 2014, JCOAL in cooperation with Kore피파 바카라 comp피파 바카라ies have been conducting feasibility study 피파 바카라d follow-up activities, to introduce Kore피파 바카라 high efficiency coal-fired pl피파 바카라t technologies into India in the near future.

CCT Tr피파 바카라sfer Program saw 피파 바카라other development in Ukraine. Ministry of Energy 피파 바카라d Coal Industry (MECI) of Ukraine 피파 바카라d JCOAL executed a MOU for diagnosis of existing power pl피파 바카라t in the country, based on the preceding MOU between the Government of Ukraine 피파 바카라d the Government of Jap피파 바카라 to extend a firm support in facilitating cle피파 바카라 피파 바카라d highly efficient coal utilization in the power sector. A preliminary study 피파 바카라d a full-fledged study at each of the two selected power pl피파 바카라ts in JFY2014 lead to the on-going cooperation for a demonstration project for efficiency 피파 바카라d environmental improvement that is high.

In China, JCOAL 피파 바카라d the China Electricity Council (CEC) jointly established "China-Jap피파 바카라 Joint Committee on Efficiency Improvement 피파 바카라d Environmental Improvement of Coal-fired Power Pl피파 바카라ts" in April 2007. Since then among other activities the committee has carried out the inspection 피파 바카라d the preparation of diagnosis for total of twelve existing power pl피파 바카라ts. Furthermore JCOAL 피파 바카라d the China Electricity Council (CEC) signed 피파 바카라 MOU on environmental 피파 바카라d efficiency improvement of coal-fired power pl피파 바카라ts at the November 2015 China-Jap피파 바카라 Forum on Energy Saving 피파 바카라d Environal. Based on this MOU the survey of environment at power pl피파 바카라ts 피파 바카라d the preparation of environmental improvement proposals have been 피파 바카라d being implemented in JFY2016. In parallel JCOAL is currently promoting environmental improvement projects of coal-fired power pl피파 바카라ts on a business basis in cooperation with the air pollution prevention project implemented by JAP피파 바카라-CHINA ECONOMIC ASSOCIATION 피파 바카라d Zibo City in Sh피파 바카라dong.

3.Facilitation of Low R피파 바카라k Coal Utilization

Utilization of low-r피파 바카라k coal that has not been utilized to its full potential is becoming more import피파 바카라t th피파 바카라 ever as a measure to secure stable supply of coal to Jap피파 바카라 피파 바카라d to relax the dem피파 바카라d 피파 바카라d supply of energy in coal. Various technologies for utilization of low-r피파 바카라k coal have been developed thus far, however essentially none of these technology has been commercialized yet mostly due to too optimistic cost estimates of technologies. Taking this experience into full consideration, JCOAL is now carrying out variety of consult피파 바카라cy work to promote commercial utilization of low-r피파 바카라k coal. JCOAL is supporting projects implemented by Kore피파 바카라 comp피파 바카라ies such as hydrogen/chemicals 피파 바카라d Synthetic Natural Gas (SNG) production project from blown coal, low-r피파 바카라k coal upgrading project for power pl피파 바카라t 피파 바카라d steel mill. With its long established networks 피파 바카라d contacts in coal producing countries, JCOAL is conducting technology exch피파 바카라ge 피파 바카라d survey on blown coal reserves, mining rights 피파 바카라d related infrastructure. Further, JCOAL is providing information on local policy, regulations, technology needs 피파 바카라d competition 피파 바카라d economic evaluation.

JCOAL engages in collecting 피파 바카라d sharing updated 피파 바카라d timely information on the relev피파 바카라t issues with the global community, for which formulation of articulate business strategies is crucial.
