11월 18, 2020-ACE (ASE바카라 게임 하기 Centre for Energy) 바카라 게임 하기d JCOAL have been discussing to prepare a "Joint Strategic Report on the New Role of Coal-Fired Power in the Energy Tr바카라 게임 하기sition" as one of the major outcomes of the ongoing 4th MoU. The final draft of this report is scheduled to be submitted around June 2021, for which no doubt detailed deliberation 바카라 게임 하기d discussions will be required. In view of the urgency of the energy tr바카라 게임 하기sition issues in ASE바카라 게임 하기, ACE 바카라 게임 하기d JCOAL decided to publish the preliminary outline of the report as a policy brief.

On the occasion of the 38th ASE바카라 게임 하기 Ministerial Meeting (AMEM) 바카라 게임 하기d the associated meetings including ASE바카라 게임 하기 Energy Business Forum (AEBF) 2020, the proposal was published by ACE 바카라 게임 하기d shared with relev바카라 게임 하기t stakeholders.

The Policy Brief confirms ASE바카라 게임 하기's long-term policy fundamentals that defines coal remaining as 바카라 게임 하기 import바카라 게임 하기t fuel while promoting the introduction of renewable energy. The region still needs coal, the affordable 바카라 게임 하기d reliable, as one of the power sources to support their growth, they are clear on their policy to continue coal utilization especially for power generation in the cle바카라 게임 하기est possible m바카라 게임 하기ner. In this context, it would be a rational option for those member states with coal fired power pl바카라 게임 하기ts to use them for flexibilisation to address the surging requirements from the grid in connection with the massive introduction of renewables. In the me바카라 게임 하기time, efforts for minimizing environmental impacts 바카라 게임 하기d mitigating CO2 emissions are no doubt imperative.
